Advanced Photography Final Exam 3

2. Monday was the 70th anniversary of the brutal D-Day WWII battle. Robert Capa, the famous war photographer, stormed Normandy with the soldiers during WWII? How many of his photos survived?

 In 1944 the tide of the battle clearly was turning> The Allies crossed the Channel and invaded Normandy on June 6, the rolls of film were shot by famous Robert Capa. Only 10 of his photos survived out of 106 the rest had melted. Those that remanded were blurred surreal shots.

3.What photo agency did he create after the war? Who were the other founders?.

His photographs, a deeply moving account of the boredom, terror, and insanity of war, are characterized by a direct appeal to the emotions, the response of average people to events beyond their control. Other founders of the Magnum Photo Agency were Henri Cartier-Bresson, David Seymour, William Vandivert, and George Rodger. Capa's legacy, beyond his wonderful photographs, included his commitment to nurturing young photographers, for his help extended beyond mere teaching to ensuring that they had enough to eat and the freedom. 

4.What did Henri Cartier-Bresson says needed to be aligned for a photograph to be successful? 

Heri Said in order for a photograph to be successful it must have perfect alignment of the head, heart and eye.

The reason I choose the first photo would that it was different and the rest of the photos really reflect it.
